Ground on which we can only be saved from destruction by fighting without delay, is desperate ground.

ON DESPERATE GROUND INDEED.

Well right about now you are probably glad that you are the reader and not the writer.  I do enjoy your company so unfettered we blaze ahead with our story.

Obviously at this point I was out of options, waiting for divine intervention or something.  I had almost accepted that regardless of what my doctors had said, that I would return to work against doctors advice and let them finish me off. I remember looking at my wife and children and the thought of giving up immediately left my mind.

In mid June the day finally came to have our pow wow with the EEOC. GE Supply was represented by "Ms. Paladin", with "The Flower" in tow and "Bradford the Educated" a scheduled attendee, missing somewhere in New York. The setting was rather informal, a conference room at the Red Lion Hotel, here in Eureka.

My wife accompanied me to the meeting but stayed in another room as she was caring for our two small children. The mediator from the EEOC was quite professional and made great strides at getting some form of dialogue going between "Ms. Paladin" and me.  "The Flower" was off in another room presumably playing Nintendo, and was not part of the discussion.

As I recall, the meeting lasted about an hour, I told "Ms. Paladin" that I had filed an additional retaliation charge with the EEOC and had asked for Injunctive Relief from the Feds to prevent GE from tampering with witnesses (like my past doctor) asked about "reasonable accommodation" under the ADA and that was about it for me.  "Ms. Paladin" responded with some mumbo jumbo about me living in Eureka, and the meeting was basically over.  There was some interaction after that but the whole trip seemed pretty much like a fishing expedition to me.

It was a  silent ride and I held my wife's hand as she drove us home. I went to bed and cried and my wife took care of our children the rest of the day.

ARRIVAL OF THE DREADED FED EX TRUCK THE FOLLOWING DAY

Now at our house the arrival of the FED EX truck was an unwelcome event, after nothing but doom, gloom and abuse by the GE Supply minions it was unbearable at times.  I can't even remember if my wife or I received the letter.

Well there is was, in black and white right in our trembling hands and it only took a Physicians Assistant and GE Supply 3 months to review.

We thanked God and every other celestial being that we could think of, it was finally resolved.

AND AS THE GOLDEN RAYS OF GOD'S GIVEN LIGHT WERE OBSCURED, THE DARKENED CLOUDS AGAIN COMMANDED THE SKY

about a week later

"HELLO, THIS IS "CRISIS RETURNS" FROM THE GE DISABILITY CENTER"
